CURRENT EVENTS

Our 4th Annual Holiday Ride will take place on the weekends of December 3 & 4 and December 10 & 11, 2011 from 1pm-4pm. The cost is $10 per family and each family member can take a guided trail ride around our tree farm on our horses and then enjoy some hot cocoa, coffee and snacks in the warmth of our home. We also have fresh made wreaths, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jewelry, apple crisp mix and other horse-related gift ideas available for purchase. Gift certificates make great stocking stuffers!

Keep in mind this holiday season...You, the customer, are my everything. Spending $25 at a retail or department store during the holidays won't make a difference to anyone. However, spending $25 through a home business owner like myself for Christmas means my business can continue. It gives us our pay, provides for our families, helps us meet our personal goals, and allows us to keep doing what we love. The big stores will not care about you the way I do because unfortunately, you don't mean that much to them. YOU mean the world to me and I appreciate your support of local business at Christmas this year!

Visit our webpage on Facebook and browse the “Holiday Ride 2010” photo album to see some of our wreaths. There are 8”, 12” and 24” wreaths available and you can order them in advance through me via phone or email if you like. I will have them ready for you when you come to the ride.

Summer Day Camp

The dates for our 2012 Summer Camp will be announced during our May Open House. The cost is $225 per person. Each session is limited to a group of 3 campers. Each camper will have an opportunity to work with all of our rescue horses throughout the week. This camp is designed for beginners and therefore they will learn how to work around, groom, feed, bathe, clip, ride, excercise and care for the horses. We will provide a light snack daily and we will celebrate the end of the week with a pizza party.

The day camp will not be canceled due to poor weather conditions. If you choose not to come due to inclement weather, that is your choice, but there will be no refunds. Please be courteous and call to let us know you will not be coming that day. We may arrange our daily schedule to work around the rain and we like to remind our campers that the horses still need attention and care, regardless of weather.

Since we will be outdoors most of the day, we recommend applying sunscreen before you come to the farm. Campers should wear long pants for riding, but may bring shorts to change into when riding is done. Boots with a small heel and ankle support are preferred.

We provide the helmets, but you are welcome to use your own helmet provided it is a certified equestrian helmet. Bicycle helmets are not allowed.

Drop off is at 9am and Pick-Up is at 1pm. Please be punctual.

Campers may bring a beverage to drink throughout the day.
